Dr. Raja received his Ph.D. in Mobile Cloud Computing (Computer Science) in 2017 from the Center for Mobile Cloud Computing Research (C4MCCR), Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM), University of Malaya (QS Ranking: 60), Malaysia, and his master’s degree in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Abbottabad Campus, in 2011. He has been working as an Assistant Professor at the College of Engineering and IT, Ajman University, since January 2022. Previously, he served as a researcher at Khalifa University of Science and Technology. His achievements include being listed among the top 2% of research scientists worldwide by Stanford University in both 2023 and 2024. He received the Best Paper Award at the SPECTS Symposium in France (2018), the Best Paper Presentation Award at the PGRess Research Symposium (2015), and the Graduate-on-Time Award from the University of Malaya (2017). He was also a recipient of the prestigious Bright Spark Scholarship Award (2013–2017), comparable to the U.S. Fulbright Scholarship, as well as multiple Research Productivity Awards at COMSATS University Islamabad (2017–2019). Earlier in his academic journey, he earned a Merit Scholarship Award during his MS studies (2009–2011).

Dr. Raja has successfully secured research funding, including a Pak-HEC Research Initiation Grant worth PKR 0.5 Million as Co-PI (2017), a research grant of AED 20,000 as PI at Ajman University (2023), and two additional research grants worth AED 50,000 (2024–2025). He also supervised a student project that won second prize in a university-wide competition at Ajman University in 2024.
