The University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (UAJK) celebrates a historic achievement as two of its talented graduates from the English Department, Batch 2019–2023, Muhammed Aslam and Andleeb, represented Pakistan at the first-ever Young South Asian Leaders Initiative (YSALI) in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
This fully funded program, organized by the U.S. Department of State in collaboration with the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the East-West Center, brought together 82 young leaders from across South Asia and alumni from New Zealand, Singapore, Cambodia, and Vietnam for an intensive workshop on civic engagement, leadership, and community challenges.
From Pakistan, only 19 participants were selected, and among them, two shining stars proudly carried UAJK’s flag. Their achievement highlights not only their personal dedication but also the academic excellence and global vision of UAJK.
Congratulations to Muhammed Aslam and Andleeb your success is a source of pride for the UAJK, your department, and the entire university community.
